MuseumsMexico is a platform that helps travelers discover and plan visits to museums across Mexico. Our services include:

• Museum discovery and information
• Route planning and optimization
• Favorites and personal collections
• User reviews and ratings
• Interactive maps and directions

User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Creating a strong password (minimum 6 characters)
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and current information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Security

We implement security measures to protect your account:

• Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt)
• Sessions expire after 7 days of inactivity
• Password reset tokens are time-limited and single-use
• We never store passwords in plain text
• You can change your password or delete your account at any time

Password Recovery

If you forget your password, you can request a password reset link via email. For security reasons:

• Reset links expire after a short period
• Each reset link can only be used once
• We don't reveal whether an email is registered with us
• Old passwords cannot be reused immediately

User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including reviews and ratings. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it on our platform.
