En una de las salas se encuentra el “Gabinete Urania”, llamado asĂ por Felipe Rivera en honor a la musa del universo Urania, ahĂ tenĂa su despacho y actualmente se conserva un telescopio Altazimut que fue obsequio del Colegio de San Nicolás y el Gobierno del Estado de Michoacán, por haber descubierto la noche del domingo 24 de febrero de 1901 el nacimiento de una estrella en la constelaciĂłn de Perseo, misma que le dio por nombre “Nova Persei”. En otra sala resguarda el piano con teclas de marfil de Adela su esposa, varias partituras de sus piezas musicales favoritas cuyos autores son Mozart, Francesco Giuseppe Verdi, Domenico Donizetti, entre otros clásicos italianos. TambiĂ©n es importante mencionar su vasta colecciĂłn bibliográfica y hemerográfica destacando temas sobre astronomĂa, geografĂa, aritmĂ©tica, historia universal, historia de MĂ©xico, mĂşsica, modas, medicina, idiomas como el francĂ©s, alemán, latĂn y gramática española, entre otros libros.
