Sala 1: Los años finales del Virreinato; Sala 2: La epopeya de Hidalgo; Sala 3: De Morelos a Mina; Sala 4: Consumación de la Independencia; Sala 5: Nace la República Federal; Sala 6: México lucha por su existencia; Sala 7: La Guerra de Reforma y la Intervención; Sala 8: La resistencia de Juárez; Sala 9: El triunfo de la República; Sala 10: La época porfiriana; Sala 11: Madero; Sala 12: Hacia la nueva Constitución. The dioramas recreate scenes of Mexican history using clay figures and three-dimensional sets made of wood and plastics. The dioramas feature interior lighting and audio to provide a narration and bring to life the protagonists’ words and period music, enhancing the drama of the scenes. Also highlighted are the contradictions of the Porfiriato, which brought political stability but also great economic inequality. Emphasis on Madero and the constitutionalists in the Revolution. Two works by sculptor José Chávez Morado: the bronze entry gate, symbolizing the fusion of two cultures (European and American), and the Recinto de la Constitución, one of the first altars to the homeland, where the Magna Carta is exalted as the cornerstone of the modern Mexican nation. To symbolize the colors of the Mexican flag, Morado covered the tower walls with red tezontle, built a green marble header in the constitution display, and placed white marble on the floor.
