Cuenta con dos salas donde se exhibe información gráfica y escrita de manera permanente sobre la historia de Carmen, desde la constitución de su territorio, geografía, medio ambiente, recursos naturales entre ellos el chicle, el camarón y el petróleo. Una tercera sala en el primer piso expone las costumbres, deportes y la generación de nuevos recursos naturales en la isla. Cinco subsalas donde artistas presentan sus obras, un área de información de acuerdo a la edad de los visitantes.
