En sus salas de exhibición encontrarás 3 mil años de historia del arte a través de la Colección Permanente, en sus Salas de Arte Prehispánico, Salas de Arte Virreinal y Siglo XIX, y Salas de Arte Contemporáneo. A su vez, el Museo Amparo cuenta con Salas de Exposiciones Temporales y una Sala de Proyectos audiovisuales, dando cabida a propuestas curatoriales de investigadores que encuadran miradas innovadoras al arte y a las manifestaciones culturales.  Dentro de sus servicios, se encuentra un auditorio, biblioteca, hemeroteca, fototeca, videoteca, tienda, y cafetería.
