La primera sala está dedicada a una exposición y explicación del arte rupestre (motivos pintados o grabados), encontrado en la Sierra Occidental de Jalisco. Siguen tres salas en donde se exhiben 405 piezas de ofrenda obtenidas de excavaciones en tres panteones fechados por radiocarbono con un rango de 1000 a. C. a 700 a. C. Estas tres salas proceden cronológicamente según el desarrollo de las investigaciones en el campo: Temporada 2001; Temporadas 2002 y 2003; y Temporadas 2004 y 2005. Cada una de estas salas enfatiza diferentes aspectos didácticos de los métodos de la excavación arqueológica y de sus resultados.
