En sus dos salas permanentes los visitantes pueden apreciar objetos de barro elaborados por alfareros mayas, como silbatos, ocarinas, sonajas, flautas, figuras de todo tipo que representaban a mujeres, hombres y niños, animales y seres fantásticos, hombres con atributos de animales, dioses y chamanes. Todas estas piezas dan cuenta del medio ambiente que rodeaba a los habitantes de estos lugares, de sus conocimientos calendáricos y de la escritura encontrada en diferentes vasijas y estelas de piedra, así como de la habilidad para hacer objetos ornamentales en hueso y concha.
