Las piezas que se exhiben en el museo, datan de los siglos XVIII y XIX, y específicamente de la etapa del conflicto entre Puebla y el Ejército francés, batalla en la que Xochiapulco jugó un papel importante.
En las vitrinas se observa al menos 71 piezas, entre armamento y vestidos de la época, 65 fotografías de los siglos arriba mencionados y 75 documentos de guerra; uno de ellos considerado de gran valor por su contenido escrito, carta que Juan N. Méndez envió a Juan Francisco Lucas, informándolo sobre la invasión francesa, mismo que representa el mejor testimonio de la participación de Xochiapulco en la batalla del 5 de mayo.
