Escenario Ecológico. This section presents the most important aspects of the climate, topographic, geological, zoological, and botanical characteristics. In this room the collection of insects, butterflies, birds, reptiles and other animals found in our state stands out. Época Prehispánica. This room presents a rich archaeological collection, which allows us to understand the pre-Hispanic cultures that developed within the state's territory. It begins with the prehistoric era where the origin of humanity is shown, continuing with the preclassic, classic, and postclassic periods. Each of them is represented with magnificent archaeological pieces; for the first there are the famous figurines called mujeres bonitas; for the second pieces from Teotihuacan (sculptures, paintings, ceramics); and for the third era there are two magnificent pieces, a stone sculpture of the Wind god Ehécatl and the vertical drum carved in Tlapanhuehuetl wood. Época Colonial. In this room the visitor is presented with the notable events of the Spanish conquest, both military and religious; original objects such as books and documents with religious, civil and economic topics are on display. Vida Independiente y Reforma. Here you will find everything related to the independence movement that freed us from Spanish rule. Data on the erection of the State of Mexico as a federation entity is also presented. Historia Moderna. Finally, the events that occurred in the State of Mexico, from the Porfiriato, the Mexican Revolution of 1910, the Post-Revolution, to the present.
