Museum Exhibitions
Permanent Collections
Features three rooms. The first—the room believed to be the birthplace of Felipe Carrillo Puerto—welcomes visitors with a brief explanation of Motul, its people, its history and its present, with photographs, locally produced crafts and explanatory texts. The second room is devoted to the life of the Motul-born politician, his studies and preparation, his political struggles, and his accession as governor of Yucatán. This is depicted in a monolithic sculpture in the shape of an open book, on which is carved in Maya, the first speech directed to the people, translated into Spanish on one of the display panels. The last room, with display cases, includes books favored by Carrillo Puerto and personal objects such as a compass, a railway clock, a logbook, and clothing, among other things. The museum's inner courtyard serves as a cultural forum. Read more: https://maravillas-motul.webnode.mx/atractivos-turisticos-y-culturales/
