Fixed Thematic Rooms: Between rooms V and VIII there are nine small rooms (former novitiate cells) presenting objects and information about the life and crafts of Oaxaca cultures such as: Ceramics, metalworking, carving, ironworking and cutlery, leatherworking, music, plastic arts, gastronomy, and beverage production.
Special Exhibitions
It has four temporary exhibition rooms: Sala de Profundis (149.0 m²) — where the Dominican community gathered to pray for the deceased; Sala de Refectorio (212.10 m²) — the refectory located east of the cloister; from the pulpit the friar-reader addressed the community as they ate in silence; Sala de Cocina Antigua (77.76 m²) — this space showcases the large-diameter fireplace flue; Sala de Dómina (57.41 m²) — the chapel where the friars prayed the Office to the Virgin of the Rosary before entering the church choir.
