La primera sala es introductoria al tema.
La segunda sala se aborda el tema de rutas comerciales y las relaciones de Teteles con otras regiones.
La tercera sala se refiere a la arquitectura, haciendo énfasis en su carácter monumental.
La cuarta sala es sobre la vida cotidiana, aquí destaca la reconstrucción hipotética de una casa de bahareque. El espacio está conectado al exterior donde fueron descubiertas tres áreas habitacionales durante exploraciones hechas entre octubre y noviembre pasados, mismas que se integraron al área de museo.
La quinta sala proyecta un video sobre la historia y características del sitio prehispánico.
La sexta aborda la religión, con énfasis en el proceso de clausura de la ciudad. Antes de abandonar Teteles, los habitantes hicieron un ritual de terminación, en el que destruyeron objetos y edificios, y posteriormente sepultaron todo con arena y tierra. Aún no se tiene certeza de la razón pero se piensa en posibles causas naturales o en ciclos de productividad.
La séptima sala describe los trabajos arqueológicos desarrollados en el sitio.
La octava está dedicada al patrimonio e identidad, donde se presenta la historia regional, los antecedentes históricos de Teteles y se ofrece una reflexión invitando al cuidado de la herencia cultural de los pueblos prehispánicos.
