Three rooms divided by themes and open every day. <i>1. Environment and architectural style</i><br>Emphasis on ecological and climatic variations of the Yucatán Peninsula, especially in the Puuc region, which was the setting for the development of important cities such as Uxmal. The architectural elements of the Puuc style are described, whose characteristics, in contrast with the cities of other regions, stand out for their hydraulic system and settlement pattern.<br><br><i>2. Historical development</i><br>The material heritage of the inhabitants of Uxmal is shown and its differences with other areas of the Maya region are explained. In this room the historical sources that record the existence and magnificence of the city are documented, and archaeological investigations at the site are described, which have allowed understanding its historical development.<br><br><i>3. Sculptures</i><br>In addition to appreciating the artistic style linked to the Pucc tradition, visitors are given an introduction to the representations of deities, to the social organization and its leaders, as well as to the development of writing and mathematics in the ancient city.
