Museum Exhibitions
Permanent Collections
Thematic content of the five permanent rooms: Sala 1. Represents the multiethnic social fabric that inhabited the region from La Cañada to what is now El Pueblito and the process of acculturation that occurred after the Spanish conquest, initiating the founding of the City. Sala 2. We are inserted into Querétaro's economic development during the 17th and 18th centuries, based on haciendas and obrajes where agricultural and textile production took place. Sala 3. Talks about the history of Querétaro from the War of Independence against Spain in 1810. Sala 4. Here the fall of the brief Second Empire under Maximilian and the Restoration of the Republic are presented, led by President Benito Juårez after the siege of the city. Sala 5. Activities to understand Porfirato as the primary cause of an armed revolution in 1910 and which culminated with the Querétaro Constitutional Congress in 1917 to create the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States that governs us today.
