El edificio está dividido en dos plantas:
La planta baja conformada por: Vestíbulo, Pasillo, Sala I, Sala II, Sala III y Sala IV. Además cuenta con una réplica de aula, con piezas de colección de principios del siglo XX, y una vitrina con objetos de laboratorio y título de profesora que data de 1888.
La planta alta alberga las salas V, VI y VII, además de un vestíbulo y un pasillo con cédulas. Esta área cuenta también con dos vitrinas con piezas de colección del patrimonio de la Benemérita Escuela Normal de Coahuila; interesantes juegos e interactivos como un Pepper Ghost de Don Apolonio M. Avilés y su leyenda asi como un Discovery Room para diversión de chicos y grandes.
Las instalaciones cuentan además con una enorme y bien acondicionada galería de exposiciones temporales, que sirve a la par para conferencias, presentación de libros y otros eventos, acondicionada con clima, proyector y pantalla.
