Permanent Collections
Permanent exhibits include a didactic room where visitors can explore the history of graphic communication, presented as a timeline tracing its journey from prehistoric drawings to the first printing press in Guadalajara, including the invention of the printing press in Germany in 1450; there are additional rooms devoted to the graphic arts covering prepress, printing and binding processes, including some 19th-century presses; visitors can also see equipment used in printing magazines and newspapers such as a printing cylinder, a rotary press, and a flat-bed press.

Four temporary exhibition rooms feature photojournalism displays and related graphic arts exhibits; there is also an auditorium with a capacity for 80 people and a library specializing in the museum's subject.
