Contains a collection related to anthropology, history and art (fossils, pre-Hispanic art, paintings, sculptures, applied arts, crafts, furniture and textiles). Notable among these are the Germán Gedovius paintings collection, the Cabeza huasteca, the horizontal city plan of San Luis Potosí, and the Sonido 13 patent piano by composer Julián Carrillo. There are seven permanent exhibition rooms: Vestíbulo: 118 m2; Sala Germán Gedovius: 60 m2; Sala Prehispánica: 256 m2; Sala Capilla: 120 m2; Sala 7: 16 m2; Sala de Artes Aplicadas: 32 m2; Sala Galería: 55 m2
