Permanent exhibits: Five rooms with detailed descriptions: Sala 1: Entorno geográfico y época prehispánica. Sala 2: Fundación y época colonial. Sala 3: Economía. Sala 4: Sociedad. Sala 5: General Escobedo en la actualidad. Sala 1 describes geographic features, flora, fauna, topography and hydrography, and shows fossils and arrow points representing early inhabitants. Sala 2 covers the foundation of the municipality by Captain José de Treviño, its descendants, the elevation to villa, and the life of General Mariano Escobedo, after whom the municipality is named. Sala 3 explores agriculture, cattle ranching, and ironworking in the 19th century, as well as Hacienda del Canadá and the municipality's first factory in the 20th century. Sala 4 discusses the Church of San Nicolás de Bari built in 1826, the introduction of electric light and drinking water, and the life of the esteemed professor María E. Villareal. Sala 5 presents General Escobedo today with its respective industrial and cultural centers.
