It has six permanent exhibition rooms: Sala numero 1. Sala de proyección de 990 m² — The room presents the meaning of the mummy, stages of death, types of mummification, and the history of exhumation. Sala numero 2. Sala de exhibición de los cuerpos momificados de 43.20 m² — The mummified remains exhumed in the church atrium, adults and minors, are exhibited. Sala numero 3. Sala de exhibición de los cuerpos momificados de 28 m² — Exhibition of the mummified remains from the exhumation in the atrium of the Church of San Juan Bautista and a gallery of images showing landscapes, vegetation, agriculture and folk art. Sala numero 4. Sala de explicación de entierro de 26.50 m² — In this room you will discover a Otomi burial simulation, where two skeletons from the church exhumation are exhibited, wooden coffins, headstones dating from 1900 and 1883, funerary urns, etc. Sala numero 5. Sala de objetos y utensilios de la cultura hñahñu de 29.75 m² — In this space you will discover objects and utensils of the Otomi culture; these artifacts have been present in the homes of the cultural groups since pre-Hispanic times and have diversified over history. Also, you will find projectile points, figurines, carved stones, monoliths and a fossil of a snail. Sala numero 6. Sala de Arqueología de 29.70 m² — In this last exhibition room, it is a space where artists can show their work and the art produced by Otomi hands.
