Permanent exhibits: The Museo Nacional de las Intervenciones has two curatorial discourses: the Conventual and Virreinal discourse located on the ground floor and comprising 4 rooms, and the Historical discourse on the upper floor with 11 rooms. Site museum spaces include: Cocina conventual de 64.2 m²; Baño de placeres de 16.53 m² (closed to the public); Refectorio de 85.56 m²; Antesacristía de 71.54 m² (temporarily closed). Spaces that recreate the life of the dieguinos during their occupation. Museo Histórico: Vestíbulo (Introducción 1) de 22.24 m²; Introducción de 65.76 m² (discusses the social and political movements that led to the start of the War of Independence in Mexico. It highlights the Washington printing press that enabled the dissemination of liberal ideas); Independencia de 90.83 m² (This room accounts for the start of the War of Independence to its culmination (1810–1821). It highlights the Acta de independencia del Imperio Mexicano, recognizing the nation as sovereign and independent of Spain); Primeras Intervenciones de 61 m² (Intervención Española 1829; speaks of the Spanish Crown's intentions to reconquer one of its most important colonies in America. Highlights President Vicente Guerrero's leadership in defending the nation); Intervención Francesa 1838–1839; Intervención Francesa de 216 m²; (The sense of national identity faces the second French intervention. As part of the room's collection a carriage is displayed, which was used by Benito Juárez to safeguard sovereignty and the Mexican government from the invading army); Intervención Francesa de 84.7 m²; Ex votos de 31.22 m²; Porfiriato de 37.78 m²; Revolución Mexicana de 49.9 m²; Invasión de 1914 de 21.06 m²; Invasión de 1916 de 25.68 m²; Intervención Norteamericana de 1914; Intervención Norteamericana de 1916. Historical journey through the different interventions and armed conflicts that led to the formation of the nation and its current territory.
