Este museo cuenta con una sala de exposición permanente en la que se muestran restos óseos de animales y humanos, así como herramientas de piedra encontradas en el sitio.
La temática se centra en la prehistoria de la Cuenca de México. Se exhiben varias hipótesis sobre el origen de la vida y del ser humano; un fotomural en el que se aprecia la cacería de un mamut; una maqueta en la que se establece el ambiente predominante en el Pleistoceno Superior; y fotografías que reseñan el trabajo de campo, laboratorio y gabinete de los investigadores del Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH).
Asimismo, el público visitante cuenta con una tabla de tiempo geológico en la que se explica la antigüedad de la Tierra y las distintas formas de vida que la habitan.
