Cuenta con 16 salas de exhibición, en las que se encuentran en la planta baja, un carruaje que fue utilizado por el gabinete presidencial de Porfirio Díaz y un carruaje utilizado por personalidades del Clero.
En el entrepiso se encuentran 6 salas en las que se exhiben temas como Vida cotidiana de los siglos XVIII y XIX; Talavera poblana; la China poblana, Gastronomía poblana; dulces típicos regionales.
En la planta alta se representa el uso de la casa habitación en los siglos XVIII y XIX, de cuando la Casa de Alfeñique fue casa habitación, con mobiliario de estilo renacentista y chippandale de origen francés y elementos procedentes de Europa, bodegones, óleos religiosos, y objetos de cristal y esculturas, tanto en la habitación, en la sala de costura, en la sala de recepción, como en el despacho, el comedor, la sacristía y la capilla y también cuenta con una cocina típicamente poblana.
