Archaeology galleries are as follows: I. Mesoamérica y Occidente — Objects from the Capacha, Ortices and Comala ceramic phases are on display. II. Volcán y cultura material — Stone tools and clay vessels along with shell and conch ornaments. III. El rito de la muerte — A tumba de tiro with bone remains and the offering. IV. Zoología fantástica — The representation of animals in western Mexico was a common practice, which is the focus of this gallery. V. Autorrepresentación e identidad — Clay was the material used to recreate important figures and everyday scenes. VI. El pasado como raíz — Gallery dedicated to denouncing the indiscriminate looting of pre-Hispanic vestiges. The history galleries are as follows: I. La tierra — With the Conquest, implements related to war, pack animals, and systems of weights and measures were adopted. II. El mar — It mentions Filipino influence and trade with the East. III. El cielo — Deals with the arrival of religious orders to the province of Colima. IV. La seda — Refers to the formation of Colima as a state. V. Continuación — In 1858, Don Benito Juárez signed important agreements in this city. VI. El hierro — It notes the instability of Colima's economy in the second half of the 19th century. VII. La manta — The armed pronunciamientos of 1910 affected economic, political and social structures. VIII. Continuación — From the first half of the 20th century, various events formed the current State of Colima.
