Cuenta con cuatro salas de exhibición permanentes:
Sala Paleontológica
Alberga vestigios prehistóricos encontrados en la región.
Sala Arqueológica
Exhibe piezas de cerámica, proyectiles de obsidiana, figurillas y esculturas, entre otras, de las culturas prehispánicas asentadas en la región.
Sala de Historia
En esta sala se ofrece un recorrido por diferentes épocas, desde la Conquista, el periodo virreinal, el México independiente, el Porfiriato, hasta la Revolución mexicana. Entre otros objetos, se encuentran cuadros de personajes ilustres de la época, artefactos cotidianos, religiosos e industriales, como peinetas, piezas de arte sacro y telares, respectivamente. Asimismo, se exhibe indumentaria militar que da cuenta de la historia mexicana con enfoque regional.

Se muestran objetos que forman parte de la cultura popular y vida cotidiana del estado de Puebla.
