Contains 10 permanent exhibition rooms:<br><br> <li>Introducción y Paleontología (de 84.5 m²)</li> En esta sala se aborda la historia de los primeros humanos en Tlaxcala a través de fósiles, mapas de rutas migratorias y reproducciones gráficas.<br><br> <li>Mesoamérica (de 34 m²)</li> Se desarrolla el concepto de la región cultural con mapas, textos y módulos didácticos.<br><br> <li>Arqueología (de 102 m²)</li> Compuesta por objetos arqueológicos que ilustran la presencia de sociedades antiguas en Tlaxcala, desde el periodo Formativo Medio (800 a.C.-100 d.C.) hasta el Epiclásico (650-900 d.C.).<br><br> <li>Posclásico (de 36 m²)</li> Se exhiben objetos arqueológicos del periodo Posclásico Tardío (1250-1519 d.C.).<br><br> <li>Contacto (de 40.5 m²)</li> Se muestran bienes culturales y réplicas que representan la alianza político-militar establecida entre los españoles y los tlaxcaltecas. Algunos de los objetos de esta sala son el Lienzo de Tlaxcala, una armadura y pica de un soldado español y un estandarte de la virgen María.<br><br> <li>Módulos Táctiles (de 75 m²)</li> Se cuenta con un área diseñada para brindar información sobre los contenidos de la exposición permanente a personas con discapacidad (débiles visuales, ciegos, hipoacúsicos y sordos).<br><br> <li>Sala de San Antonio (de 131 m²)</li> Consta de 10 óleos de gran formato del siglo XVIII sobre la vida de san Antonio de Padua, los cuales servían de ejemplo de sus virtudes a los miembros de la orden en el convento.<br><br> <li>Sala de Historia Religiosa (de 45 m²)</li> Se muestra la adopción del cristianismo, construcciones religiosas y la expansión del cristianismo.<br><br> <li>Sala de Gobierno Indígena y Comercio (de 48 m²)</li> Esta sala aborda el cabildo indígena y el gobierno español y se exhiben óleos de los cuatro señores de Tlaxcala, un arcón de cuatro llaves, bastones de mando, herramientas, pesos y medidas.<br><br> <li>Sala de Siglo XX (de 40 m²)</li> La sala está dedicada al gobierno porfiriano, la Revolución en Tlaxcala y las redes ferroviarias en el estado.
