It consists of 15 permanent rooms that display paintings and sculptures by Mexican and international abstract artists. It also houses an abstract art room by Zacatecan artists. Among the collections it houses are the Ruta de la amistad, with works created by artists from various countries for the Mexico 1968 Olympics; the Murales Osaka, commissioned by Don Fernando Gamboa for Mexico's pavilion at Expo Osaka 70, and the ColecciĂłn antolĂłgica by Manuel FelguĂ©rez, featuring works that reflect the artist's various creative stages.
