El museo cuenta con una biblioteca que recibe el nombre en honor al General Francisco Luis Urquizo Benavides, en donde se puede consultar bibliografía de temas militares e históricos. La sala de juntas se llama General Joaquín Amaro Domínguez y es empleada para mostrar documentales históricos los días miércoles de 16:00 a 18:00 hrs. En la sala de exposición permanente se puede apreciar el acervo histórico en el que cuenta el museo, organizado en los siguientes módulos: Conquista Colonia Independencia Luchas por el poder y las intervenciones extranjeras Reforma Batalla del 2 de abril de 1867 La intervención francesa y el segundo imperio Porfiriato Revolución Mexicana La fuerza Aérea Expedicionaria Industria Militar Heráldica Militar
